The NBRO was reborn in 2007 under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Human Rights, with the blessings it received from Hon Mahinda Samarasinghe, who him self carries the national responsibility for Disaster Management and Human Rights on his shoulders. The nation salute you Sir, for the vision and dynamism which you have piloted the Disaster Management act in 2005.
While dedicating the NBRO to serve the nation, the Secretary Prof. Rajiva Wijesinha has a dream to raise the image of this important institution nationally and internationally. Currently, with longstanding reputation as an honest and trust worthy R & D institution, NBRO has been able to play an active role, especially in of Disaster Studies in the Country with the guidance from Hon Minister and the secretary.
At present, customers from wide range of disciplines from both private and state sector organizations seek services of NBRO. These clients have obtained our services purely through the trust and reputation built over the past 25 years with virtually no marketing or advertising strategies.
