Facilities available

Universal testing machine

Universal testing machine which can be operated in five different load ranges with a maximum loading capacity of 1000kN and Automatic Universal testing machine with extensometer with a maximum loading capacity of 600kN.  These machines are equipped with accessories to test materials for compression, tension and flexure and to measure stress-strain.

Rebending testing machine

Automatic compression testing machine with loading capacity of 2000kN.

Equipment required for testing of cements including autoclave and Le Chatelier’s equipment for determination of soundness,

Blaine’s apparatus for determination of fineness, mixer, moulds and other equipment for testing of cement  prisms and Vicat apparatus for determination of setting times, Flow table and Plunger apparatus for testing of masonry cement and building lime,
