The NBRO real-time Particulate Matter (PM) levels monitoring station at Colombo 07 have shown lowest levels for average 24 hour PM2.5 and PM10 levels ever recorded since past twenty years. These low levels were recorded during the Covid-19 outbreak period, where mobility of vehicles on road was brought under control with strict enforcement of quarantine strategies since March 14 th 2020.
